The Chevrolet Suburban has seating for up to eight passengers on all trims but the Premier and High Country. These are the highest trims and have a unique 2-2-3 configuration that accommodates seven passengers. The driver’s seat is the picture of comfort and relaxation, with 8-way power controls that include up/down, forward/back, recline, and lumbar support.

The two rear rows of the Chevrolet Suburban are 60/40 split benches that can be reconfigured to create more passenger and cargo versatility. The third row can be folded completely flat to extend your rear cargo space and offer a maximum cargo volume of 144.5 cubic feet.

Cabin

The 2025 Suburban has tri-zone automatic climate control, ensuring everyone’s comfort throughout the cabin. Tri-zone automatic climate control divides your Suburban’s interior into three sections, each with individual settings. The Chevy Suburban has three engine options: choose from the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine, 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, and the new Duramax® 3.0L Turbo Diesel. Your base 5.3L V8 features a 10-speed automatic transmission combined with an incredible 355 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 383 lb.-ft. of torque at 4100 rpm–a tough contender right out the gate. But venture into the 6.2L V8, and you’ll upgrade to 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. The Duramax® 3.0L Turbo Diesel is going to be your all-encompassing powerhouse, with Best-in-class 728 miles EPA-estimated max highway range per tank, an improved 305 horsepower, and 495 lb.-ft. of torque. Each engine exudes substantial power to handle all of your daily needs, from tough jobs on the work site to towing your family out to the lake.

Safety

Driver assistance features make the Chevrolet Suburban one of the safest vehicles on the market, including enhanced functions like Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking and Rear Pedestrian Alert. Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking prevents or reduces the severity of collisions with cross-traffic at intersections, while Rear Pedestrian Alert watches the area behind your SUV for pedestrians as you back out of a driveway or parking spot.

Additional safety features include Safety Alert Seat, which uses seat vibrations to identify the direction of potential collisions, and HD Surround Vision, which monitors the entire area surrounding your SUV. The new Chevrolet Suburban also comes with Rear Seat Reminder, Teen Driver, OnStar Basics, Hill Start Assist, and seven airbags.

Plus, GM was awarded MotorTrend’s Best Tech of 2025 for its Super Cruise® driver assistance technology, so you can rest assured you’re getting the best of the best in the hands-free driving technology market. This feature is even trailering-compatible, making your towing jobs that much easier.
