Design

The 5-seater 2024 Civic Hatchback line has three trims. The base model is gasoline-powered only and the top two trims are hybrids. All have Sport pedals, a leather-wrapped shift knob, and heated side mirrors. Hybrid models have a standard tilting power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.

The top Sport Touring Hybrid has integrated turn indicators in the side view mirrors and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Standard interior features include a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Performance

The 2024 Civic Hatchback lineup is powered by a 4-cylinder engine with 150 hp and 133 lb-ft of torque. The lowest gasoline-powered trim has a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters. The hybrid models have two motors delivering 181 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque plus an electronic continuously variable transmission (E-CVT) with deceleration selectors. The two lower trims have three dynamic drive modes: Econ, Normal, and Sport. The top trim adds a fourth Individual mode.

The gas engine’s fuel economy averages 30 mpg on city streets and 38 mpg on the highway. The hybrid models reach 50 mpg in the city and 45 mpg on highways.

Technology

All 2024 Civic Hatchback models have two 3.0-amp USB-C data ports in the front row, built-in Google and Alexa, a radio data system, speed-sensitive volume control, and text messaging. Hands-free calling and streaming audio are provided via Bluetooth. A 7-in Driver Information Interface and an 8-speaker sound system with AM/FM stereo radio are standard on the two lower trims. Their infotainment systems have 7-inch color touchscreen displays featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The top trim has a 10.2-inch Driver Information Interface and a 12-speaker Bose Premium Sound System with HD radio. Its infotainment system has a 9-inch color touchscreen display with customizable settings and Smart Shortcuts, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and a Qi-compatible wireless phone charger.
